Dear Students and Families,
As a school district, we continue to monitor the news regarding the spread of COVID-19 in New Jersey, but Camden County and Camden City, specifically; and update our plans accordingly. Based on recent data from the county health department, we are revising the district’s daily operations effective November 30, 2020 until January 8, 2021.
Starting Monday, November 30, 2020, the district will be closed to all non-essential employees. The district will continue its normal structure for remote learning and instruction during this period; however, all non-essential activities, programming and events will be cancelled until January 8, 2021.
Taking Continued Precautions
We continue to urge everyone to listen to the experts, take care of yourself and family so that when the district reopens and our entire community at-large returns to a state of relative normalcy, we can continue our mission of serving all students and families of Camden.
Access to Meals
During this closure for non-essential employees, programming, and events, students and families will still have access to meals.
Working Papers
Working papers will not be processed after November 24, 2020. Working papers will be processed after the district reopens for non-essential activities on January 11, 2021.
Visiting Central Office
The Central Office will be closed to all visitors during this period. If you are in need of assistance, contact the Solutions Center at 856-966-2507
Does this closure impact any of the already scheduled district holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving or winter break)?
No. All regularly scheduled district holidays will still be observed. Check the district’s website for the calendar.
Questions
If you have any questions during this period, you may contact your school’s Family Operations Coordinator, your child’s teacher and/or your school leader.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our students and district.
Sincerely,
Katrina T. McCombs, M.Ed., MPA
