It’s time for the District's Open Enrollment!  Open enrollment season is a period of time when District employees may elect or change the benefit options available.  District employees may make changes to their medical, dental, prescription and vision benefits and/or enroll in a Flexible Spending Account during the period of November 1, 2018 – November 30, 2018.

District Benefit Options

The District offers the following healthcare benefits to its employees:  

  • Medical Insurance through Aetna

If you opt to enroll in any of the above District benefits, you will pay a portion of the premium for each benefit with the exception of dental and vision coverage.  Your payment obligation is based on contribution rates prescribed by state law.  You can estimate your medical and prescription per pay contribution here.

Enrolling in District Benefits

  •  Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Coverage                         
    • Option #1: Rollover.  If you would like your medical, dental, vision or prescription coverage to remain the same, your benefits will rollover automatically and you do not have to take any action.
    • Option #2: Changes.    If you would like your medical, dental, vision or prescription coverage to change, you are able to access the application here. If you would like to add a spouse or a dependent, you must submit supporting documentation. Supporting documentation includes birth certificate, marriage certificate or legal court documents.  These documents must be submitted along with your completed application to Laura Davis at

  • Flexible Spending Account

If you want to participate in a FSA, you must re-enroll in this plan each year.  There is no rollover option available with the Healthcare FSA and you are able to access an application here. The application must be submitted by November 30, 2018.

TASC offers a wide variety of services; however, Camden City School District only offers the following benefits under FSA: (Click here to view a short video)

CRITICAL!  You cannot make any changes to your benefit plans after November 30th, unless you experience a qualifying life event (i.e. change in marital status, birth/adoption of child, etc.)  There will be no exceptions.

Purchasing Disability Insurance & Life Insurance

CCSD does not offer short term or long-term disability insurance. Third-party vendors provide short-term disability insurance. The full cost of short-term disability insurance is the employee's responsibility, meaning there is no contribution from CCSD. The employee premium can be processed as a payroll deduction.  For additional information regarding plan offerings, please contact the vendor of your choice.

Waiver of Health Coverage
If you would like to opt out of District benefits, you are able to access the waiver form here. Send the form to Laura Davis at by Thursday, December 20, 2018.  Any waiver form received after this date will not be processed.

Important Reminders

  • Delta Dental - Our dental plan is through Delta Dental.  Employees are encouraged to check with your dentist to ensure they are part of the PPO network.  The cost is more in the Premier/Advantage network or with out of network providers.  (Click here for more information on dental benefits.)

  •  Have you reviewed your beneficiary information lately?   Open Enrollment is a great opportunity to ensure your pension information is accurate. Access MBOS, Member Benefit Online System, here to review your pension information and receive additional instructions regarding this system.
